Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ReplayStudy handles information when you use ReplayStudy and the Security+ Training Center.

1. Information You Provide

If you create an account, ReplayStudy uses your email address and authentication information to sign you in. Authentication is provided through Supabase. Your password is handled by the authentication service and is not stored in ReplayStudy study data.

If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, account details, screenshots, or a description of a problem.

2. Study and Learning Data

ReplayStudy records study activity needed to operate learning features. This can include course progress, practice attempts, selected answers, correctness, confidence ratings, response time, Replay outcomes, bookmarks, review history, exam history, flashcard progress, readiness information, and related learning state.

3. Browser Storage

ReplayStudy stores study progress and application information in your browser using technologies such as local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and application caching. This allows features such as saved progress, preferences, offline use, recovery, and performance tracking to work on your device.

Clearing browser or site data may remove local ReplayStudy information that has not been preserved elsewhere.

4. Accounts and Cloud Save

When you sign in and use Cloud Save, ReplayStudy may send study state to Supabase so a cloud copy can be associated with your account and device. Cloud Save records may include your account identifier, device identifier, application version, timestamps, integrity checksums, and the study state being backed up.

When Cloud Save is active and the current browser is in a safe synchronized state, ReplayStudy may mirror later local saves automatically. ReplayStudy also includes controls for reviewing or resolving differences between local and cloud progress.

5. Local Feedback and Learning Analytics

The application may record learning activity and performance information in your browser to operate and improve study features. This can include question attempts, correctness, answer selections, confidence, response times, Replay results, and locally queued question feedback.

ReplayStudy does not currently use third party advertising or behavioral analytics services.

6. Cookies and Tracking

ReplayStudy does not currently use advertising cookies or third party tracking cookies. We use browser storage technologies, including local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and application caching, to save preferences, study progress, account sessions, application data, and offline resources.

7. Payments

The current study application does not store full payment card numbers. If a purchase is completed through a payment provider or external checkout, that provider processes payment information under its own privacy practices and provides ReplayStudy the transaction information needed to manage access, support, refunds, and accounting.

8. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and maintain ReplayStudy, authenticate accounts, save and restore progress, operate learning and review features, provide support, protect the service, diagnose technical problems, process access and refund matters, and improve the quality of the product.

9. When Information Is Shared

ReplayStudy may share information with service providers that perform functions needed to operate the service, such as authentication, hosting, cloud storage, email, or payment processing. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect users and the service.

ReplayStudy does not sell personal information for advertising.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Local study data generally remains in your browser until you clear it, reset it, or delete the account and browser data through available controls. Cloud data is retained as needed to provide account and Cloud Save features, meet legitimate business or legal needs, or until it is deleted according to available account controls and applicable requirements.

When account deletion is successfully completed through ReplayStudy, the account and associated cloud study data are deleted and ReplayStudy attempts to clear ReplayStudy data stored in the current browser. Purchased access is not automatically refunded by account deletion.

11. Your Choices

You can use the Download My Data control in Account > Privacy to download a copy of available ReplayStudy data. The download is a ZIP folder containing a readable HTML report and detailed CSV spreadsheet files. Extract the folder and open START-HERE.html to read the report. The download requires a verified signed-in account and includes account profile details, that account’s current browser study data, and available Cloud Save study copies. Legacy browser-wide feedback and analytics whose account ownership cannot be verified are excluded; any omissions are explained in the file. Authentication tokens are not included. Downloads are copies for your records, and ReplayStudy does not accept progress-file imports.

You can also use Account > Privacy to begin account deletion. For privacy or data questions that cannot be handled through the product, contact support@replaystudy.com.

12. Security

ReplayStudy uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service, browser storage system, or cloud platform can guarantee absolute security.

13. Children

ReplayStudy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ReplayStudy features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted here with its effective date.
